About
Twenty-five years in
the rooms that matter
The work AIDCOM does draws on a career that started in defense intelligence and ran through some of the most demanding organizational environments in the world. That background shapes everything — how problems get framed, how decisions get made, and what good looks like.
Jeff Hendrickson
Founder, AIDCOM ConsultingJeff Hendrickson began his career at the Pentagon, the Department of the Navy, and the Defense Intelligence Agency — environments where strategic clarity under pressure was a professional requirement, not an aspiration. The discipline of those years, the insistence on precision, on knowing what you actually know versus what you assume, runs through everything he does today.
Over the following twenty-five years, he worked across Fortune 100 companies and high-growth startups on four continents, running strategy, UX adoption, and organizational transformation at the senior level. He has designed battlefield data visualization systems for defense intelligence agencies, led engagements that cut project backlogs by 65 percent, and advised leadership teams navigating the kind of change that doesn't come with a playbook.
He founded AIDCOM Consulting to bring that depth of experience to bear on the decisions that matter most — at the intersection of AI strategy, organizational design, and the leadership capability required to execute under real conditions. He works at the senior level, directly with leadership teams, on engagements where the stakes are high enough to warrant it.
He also teaches strategy and leadership frameworks to more than 15,000 students on Udemy, has developed the Archemetrics coaching methodology for individual and organizational alignment, and writes across several platforms on strategy, reinvention, and the practice of clear thinking.
How I Work
The principles behind
every engagement
Twenty-five years across industries, geographies, and organizational contexts produces a set of convictions about what actually works. These aren't values statements — they're operating principles that show up in every engagement.
Clarity before speed
Most organizations move fast in the wrong direction and call it momentum. The first job in any engagement is to get precise about what the actual problem is — which is rarely the problem that was initially presented. Clarity about the real situation is worth more than any framework applied to the wrong question.
People, Data, Systems, Processes
Every organizational challenge — without exception — can be traced to a breakdown in one or more of these four areas. Strategy that doesn't account for all four produces solutions that work on paper and fail in execution. This framework is the lens through which every AIDCOM engagement gets diagnosed.
Everyone is doing their best
This is not a soft position. It's a diagnostic one. When something is broken in an organization, the people inside it are almost always working hard within constraints they didn't design. The question is never "who failed" — it's "what system produced this outcome, and how do we build a better one." Empathy is the foundation of accurate organizational diagnosis.
Honest counsel over comfortable answers
The most valuable thing an outside advisor can offer is the truth about what they see — delivered directly, without the political weight that makes internal honesty difficult. If the strategy isn't working, that gets said. If the leadership team is the constraint, that gets said. The goal is a better outcome, not a continued engagement.
Beyond Consulting
Teaching, writing,
and methodology work
The consulting work at AIDCOM sits alongside a broader body of work in teaching, methodology development, and writing. These aren't separate tracks — the thinking developed in each one sharpens the others.
Jeff teaches critical path thinking and strategy frameworks to over 15,000 students on Udemy. He developed Archemetrics, a proprietary coaching methodology for individual and organizational alignment. He writes on strategy, reinvention, and leadership under the Quiet Forge Press imprint, with a catalog spanning decision-making, AI fluency, and professional reinvention for experienced leaders.
